About this translation
In short
We do not use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies that identify you. That is why we do not show a consent banner: we only use what is strictly necessary or what you asked for.
We count visits without cookies: on every page you open, our content server (studio.lumosstudio.ro) adds up only the page address, the day and the kind of source (search engine, social network, direct or another site). We do not store your IP address, we set no cookies and we cannot tell who you are. If your browser sends “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control”, nothing is counted. For a gallery video, the preview image comes from YouTube (i.ytimg.com, Google), and the player loads only when you press it, from youtube-nocookie.com; YouTube’s (Google’s) rules apply to both
What we keep in your browser
| Name | Type | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| lumos_city | cookie | Your progress in the game: which orbs you found, the active mission, the nickname (if you chose one) and the day streak. It is set only after you press “Start the game”. It works on all Lumos Studio sites (.lumosstudio.ro), so an orb found on one site shows in the city. | 365 days |
| lumos-city.v1 | localStorage | A copy of the progress in the cookie, so you do not lose it if the browser clears cookies. | until you delete it |
| lumos-city-view | localStorage | The view you chose for the city (3D map or list). | until you delete it |
| lumos-city-proofs | localStorage | Signed proofs that the game saw you find the orbs, so you can send them to the leaderboard. They hold nothing about you. | Until you delete it |
| lumos-city-session | localStorage | That you passed the anti-bot check for the leaderboard, so we do not ask again for a day. | One day |
| lumos-city-town.v1 | localStorage | Which answers you gave to the townspeople’s questions and the quick games, the days you took the orb of the day (for the streak), and the XP from them. It stays in your browser only: it is not in the cookie and is not sent to the leaderboard. | Until you delete it |
| lumos-city-sound | localStorage | Whether you muted the game’s sound. The sound only starts after you touch the page. | Until you delete it |
| lumos-city-final | localStorage | That you saw the “You lit up Lumos City” screen, so we do not show it again. | Until you delete it |
| lumos-theme | localStorage | The theme you chose (light or dark). | until you delete it |
| lumos-text-size | localStorage | The text size you chose in the accessibility panel (normal or larger). | until you delete it |
| lumos-a11y | localStorage | The accessibility options you chose in the panel: high contrast, highlighted links, easy-to-read font, no animations. | until you delete it |
| lumos-lang | localStorage | The language you chose (Romanian or English). | until you delete it |
All of them are strictly necessary or do what you asked for (for example the language or theme you chose), so the law does not require your consent.
How to delete them
You can delete cookies and site data from your browser settings at any time. If you do, the site forgets you: it goes back to the default language and theme.
Third-party services
